Ryan P. Deleston petitioned for a writ of certiorari, claiming (1) the court of appeals erred in affirming the trial court's refusal to allow Deleston to cross-examine witnesses in violation of Rule 404(b), SCRE, the rule on third party guilt, and Deleston's due process right to present a complete defense; and (2) the court of appeals erred in finding the trial court's instruction to the jury that a trial was "a search for the truth in an effort to make sure that justice is done" was not reversible error. We granted certiorari.
