Court of Appeals To Hold Special Term for the Charleston School of Law on April 7, 2011

The South Carolina Court of Appeals announces a special term of court has been scheduled in Charleston on Thursday, April 7, 2011.  The Court will hear three cases at the Charleston Music Hall, beginning at 9:15 a.m. with remarks from Dean Andrew Abrams from the Charleston School of Law.  The arguments have been approved as a Rule 403 trial experience for eligible students.  After arguments, Chief Judge John Cannon Few, Judge Thomas E. Huff, Judge Daniel F. Pieper, and Judge James E. Lockemy will speak to 1Ls in their legal writing classes. 

The cases to be heard are listed on the Judicial Department Web site – www.sccourts.org - and may be viewed by clicking on “Court of Appeals” and “Roster of Cases.”  Plenty of seating will be available, and the public is encouraged to attend.
