2-21-2024 - Opinions

6050 - South Carolina Coastal Conservation League, Inc. v. Charleston County

This opinion partially affirms the circuit court's judgment dismissing various challenges to a funding agreement involving a project commonly known as the Mark Clark Extension. The underlying lawsuit also involved several claims that Charleston County violated the Freedom of Information Act. The dismissal of one of those claims is reversed and remanded.

6051 - Anderson v. State

The State appeals the circuit court's reversal of Tyrone Anderson's magistrate's court conviction of driving under the influence (DUI) and dismissal of the charge. On appeal, the State argues it presented evidence to establish each element of DUI and that evidence independently corroborated Anderson's admission of driving such that it satisfied the corpus delicti rule. We reverse.
