26386 - In the Matter of Melisa W. Gay

This is an attorney disciplinary opinion in which the Court imposed a public reprimand.

26387 - In the Matter of Dane A. Bonecutter

This is an attorney disciplinary opinion in which the Court imposed a definite suspension.

26388 - Widdicombe v. Tucker-Cales

The Court vacated the portion of the Court of Appeals' opinion supporting the family court's exercise of jurisdiction pursuant to the doctrine of unclean hands, but affirmed the Court of Appeals' opinion holding the family court had continuing, exclusive jurisdiction.

26389 - In the Matter of Carroll Ansell Gantt

This is an attorney disciplinary opinion in which the Court imposed a definite suspension from the practice of law.

26390 - In the Matter of Pamela L. Buchanan-Lyon

This is an attorney disciplinary opinion in which the Court imposed an indefinite suspension from the practice of law.

26391 - Marlar v. State

The decision of the Court of Appeals was reversed because the respondent failed to preserve his allegations for appellate review by filing a Rule 59(e), SCRCP, motion asking the PCR judge to make specific findings of fact and conclusions of law on the allegations.

26392 - In the Matter of Dennis J. Rhoad

This is an attorney disciplinary matter in which the Court imposed a definite suspension.

26393 - State v. Lee

The Court affirmed the Court of Appeals’ vacation of Lee’s convictions due to excessive pre-indictment delay, which violated the Fifth Amendment Due Process Clause.

26394 - Stearns Bank v. Glenwood Falls

The Court held that S.C. Code Ann. § 18-9-130 is inapplicable to appeals from the denial of a Rule 60 (b) motion to set aside a money judgment.

This is an order granting a Petition for Reinstatement.
11-19-2007 - Opinions

26395 - In the Matter of C. H. Barrier

In this disciplinary proceeding, Respondent was given a sixty day suspension.

26396 - State v. James

26397 - In the Matter of G. Turner Perrow, Jr.

This is a disciplinary opinion in which the Court publicly reprimanded a lawyer.

11-26-2007 - Orders

ORDER - In the Matter of Adrian Edward Cooper
This order places Adrian Edward Cooper on interim suspension pursuant to Rule 17(c) of Rule 413, SCACR, and appoints Herbert W. Hamilton to protect the interests of Mr. Cooper's clients.
ORDER - Amendments to the South Carolina Appellate Court Rules
By Order dated April 4, 2007, the Court amended Rules 413 and 502, SCACR, pursuant to a request from the Office of Disciplinary Counsel.
