This case involves the issue of whether the PCR court erred by granting respondent relief on three charges of possession of a pistol by a person convicted of a crime of violence.

25833 - Council v. Catoe

This Court reverses the PCR judge’s imposition of an indefinite stay on Petitioner's PCR proceedings and adopts a new approach for determining whether a petitioner’s PCR hearing should go forward when he claims incompetence.

Respondent is suspended from the practice of law for one year.

25835 - Anne Parker v. Shecut

The Court affirmed the master-in-equity's findings concerning, among other things, calculation of damages for ouster and attorney's fees and interest awards.

This is an order reinstating an attorney to the practice of law after his interim and administrative suspensions.
6-14-2004 - Opinions

25836 - In the Matter of Wilkes

In this attorney disciplinary matter, the attorney was disbarred for, among other things, misconduct in several real estate and probate matters, a criminal conviction for tax evasion, the destruction of client records, and for failing to respond to Disciplinary Counsel.

25838 - State v. Simmons

This capital case involves issues of juror voir dire, juror dismissal after trial has begun, and affirmance of a death sentence when an aggravating circumstance has been invalidated.
