This opinion addresses whether a private guarantee agency can enforce a withholding order under the Federal Family Education Loan Program against the State of South Carolina without violating the Eleventh Amendment.

This case establishes procedures for implementing the United States Supreme Court opinion of Atkins v. Virginia, 536 U.S. 304, 122 S.Ct. 2242(2002).

The Court dismissed certiorari to the court of Appeals as improvidently granted in this probation revocation case.

25750 - In the Matter of Belding

We hold that Respondent shall be definitely suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year.

25751 - State v. Rosmond

This criminal case involves the issue of whether petitioner was entitled to a directed verdict on the charge of strong armed robbery.

25752 - State v. Hook

On certiorari to the Court of Appeals, this opinion holds that a probationer's statement to his probation officer is inadmissible under ยง 24-21-290.

25753 - S.C. Department of Social Services v. Cochran

This Court reverses the family court's decision to terminate mother's parental rights.

25754 - Allendale Bank v. Cadle

This opinion summarily dismisses the writ of certiorari originally granted to review the Court of Appeals' decision in Allendale County Bank v. Cadle, 348 S.C. 367, 559 S.E.2d 342 (Ct. App. 2001).

25755 - Cheap-O's Truck Stop v. Cloyd

This case involves the issues of whether the Court of Appeals erred by finding the settlement agreement enforceable, by finding the circuit court properly found petitioners in contempt, and by finding the circuit court properly awarded respondents attorney's fees.
