5-4-2011 - Opinions

4832 - Crystal Pines Homeowners Association, Inc. v. Phillips

We reverse the master's finding that Phillips is responsible for road maintenance in the Crystal Pines subdivision and affirm the master's finding that Crystal Pines residents acquired an easement to use a boat ramp located in the subdivision.

5-25-2011 - Opinions

4833 - State v. Phillips

Lawrence Phillips appeals his conviction and sentence for second-degree arson, arguing the trial court erred in refusing to direct a verdict of acquittal and in sentencing him to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole (LWOP). We affirm the refusal to direct a verdict but reverse the LWOP sentence and remand for resentencing.

4834 - SLED v. 1-Speedmaster

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) appeals the circuit court's order affirming the magistrate's ruling that a video game machine did not constitute an illegal gaming device as defined in South Carolina Code Section 12-21-2710. We affirm.
